Our Trip Down Under: June 23 - July 5, 2008

Sydney, Australia

After 14 hours on a plane, Molly was a trooper and very excited to arrive in Sydney!

Eventually though, we all needed a nap....but Molly was the only one smart enough to take advantage of the opportunity.

While most of the group was enjoying a quick video about the Sydney Opera House's architect, Molly was in awe of our 7-foot center!

Allison was one of the crazy ones to actually do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb! To learn more, visit www.bridgeclimb.com.

Brisbane, Australia
Molly's first time seeing the ocean was at the Gold Coast, in the state of
Queensland (near Brisbane).

So many firsts! Oceans, roos, and koalas, oh my!

A little downtime in the hotel room finds Molly...aka Rock Star

Cairns, Australia
A visit to the Great Barrier Reef, an hour boat ride off the coast of Cairns, was truly the highlight of the trip! Can you see what's lurking below?!

Allison and Mike had an amazing day (taking turns) snorkling, and Molly had her first experience getting in the ocean!

Cairns, from afar...

On a day off, Molly had a ball at a children's water park :)

Molly - at 15 months old - with 8 U.S. states under her belt - now has stamps in her passport detailing her international travels! I reckon this is now time to say "G'day Mate!"

Kansas/Missouri Trip

In May, we took a trip to Kansas...

Molly took to playing with her soccer ball right off the bat in the green grass!

Before long, she had picked up so much she had to explain the game to Grandma Carol
(while watching her cousin, Layne)...

Here's Molly pointing out to Dada which cows are keepers :)

Enough working...finally, a chance to relax at the lake!!!

Mother's Day, 2008

Mother's Day was a treat!

Sitting outside, overlooking the Strip, at Maggiano's was lots of fun...

Molly was very excited to share her second Mother's Day with "Mama."

Molly's First Birthday

Well, we have had a very busy spring, and have not kept our website up-to-date very well...but will try to catch you up now :) Molly celebrated her first birthday in March...in Omaha, with the UNLV Rebels, who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before losing to eventual Champion, KU. Hopefully, Molly will always celebrate her birthday in a different city!
